DFW18 is larger (269,172 sq ft raised floor, 36 MW IT load) and was designed as a purpose-built data center, while DFW16 (105,800 sq ft, 6,750 kW IT load) is a retrofit. They share the campus substation (up to 100 MW) and most network providers, so connectivity and ecosystem are comparable.

DFW16 has access to nine fibre providers on the Digital Dallas campus. The wider campus connects to 70+ network service providers and 25+ cloud providers including direct on-ramps to AWS, Azure and GCP — making it one of the most interconnected facilities in the southern US.

DFW16 is designed with 2N UPS redundancy and 2N cooling redundancy — meaning fully duplicated systems on both power and cooling. The campus is fed by a dedicated, privately owned substation that can deliver up to 100 MW, with diverse feeders for grid independence.
